Nando’s PERi-PERi Makes a Stop in Atlanta

by | May 2, 2016 | Events

With Cinco de Mayo right around the corner, I have a few things on my mind: sombreros, margaritas and spicy food. So when a representative from Nando’s PERi-PERi hit me up to let me know they were coming through Atlanta… it just felt right.

Nando’s may have started as a African/Portuguese-inspired restaurant (there are none in Atlanta yet, but maybe we can convince them while they’re here!), but its sauces, made from unripened lemons, onion, garlic and the African Bird’s Eye chilli pepper, have become so popular nation-wide that they decided to sell them in a ton of cities across the United States. And yes, they’re sold in Atlanta!

In honor of Cinco de Mayo, Nando’s is throwing a South African braai during their visit to our city. A braai is a traditional South African party involving friends, fire, delicious food and some seriously good stories. I’ll be there and can’t wait to share some photos– and more importantly, some commentary on Nando’s yummy sauces– with all of you!

And while the braai is an RSVP-only event (details on how you can RSVP to this free food + drink event at the bottom of this post!), Nando’s wants to share the love with everyone in Atlanta, not just a select few. As mentioned in this Atlanta Business Chronicle article, Nando’s PERi-PERi surprised a TON of lucky Atlantans last week. Nando’s dropped off bottles of their famous sauce on the doorsteps of over 40,000 people in metro Atlanta. Were you one of the lucky ones?!

But if your luck ran dry, you can still score some free sauce by visiting this link. Atlanta locations selling Nando’s PERi-PERi can be found here.

So how do you RSVP for Nando’s braai on Cinco de Mayo?

  • Visit this link.
  • Enter this code: PeriPeriATL.
  • See you on Thursday!

*But act fact because once the spots fill up, the RSVP link will close. Must be 21+ to attend.

This post was sponsored by Nando’s PERi-PERi. But all thoughts and opinions remain my own. Can’t wait for the braai later this week!
