On The Border: Patio Season is Here #PatioVida

by | Jun 17, 2017 | Food & Drink

On a hot summer day there is nothing better than a breezy patio filled with fun music, fresh margaritas and delicious Mexican food. We have five On The Border locations in the Atlanta area, and the food, drinks and atmosphere are certainly worth a visit this patio season! That’s why I was excited to partner with On The Border to show you what #PatioVida is all about.

I recently visited On The Border with some friends and was blown away by the variety of margaritas! This season the restaurant is featuring a Watermelon Margarita, and while all of the cocktails were delicious, this one was definitely my favorite! On The Border prepares it with fresh, pureed watermelon, so it tastes so natural! And best of all? On Thursdays you can get $4 regular Watermelon Margaritas all day – or for $1 more you can make it a grande, like I did! Now that’s what I call #PatioVida…

On The Border recently updated its Cantina Menu, so even if you’ve been there before I suggest returning to try some of the new drinks! In addition to the seasonal Watermelon Margarita, my friends and I tasted the Blue Lagoon, Coronarita and House Margarita. The Blue Lagoon came with little Blue Curcacao shooter that turned the margarita blue when you poured it in. And the Coronarita is perfect for all of the beer lovers that still want to enjoy a margarita – it’s the best of both worlds!  Another thing I thought was cool was that any margarita could be prepared on the rocks or frozen! (I love all drinks frozen so I was in heaven.) I can’t wait to go back to On The Border to try more of the new drink additions!

Whether you’re stopping by for happy hour cocktails or for a full meal, I always recommend ordering dips! Salsa and chips are brought out to each table, but we ordered the queso and guacamole duo, too. The salty chips, gooey cheese and fresh avocados were a great complement to our sweet and sour cocktails!

And if you’re anything like me, deciding what to order at a restaurant can be stressful!! That’s why I love this quiz On The Border created to help you decide “What On The Border Summer Food & Cocktail Pairing Is Right For You?” Be sure to take this #PatioVida quiz before you stop by next!
